The Backlist at Studio in Grey is a book club and slow reading community, curated & designed to cultivate a culture of reading as a practice.
Through the practice of reading, sharing ideas and having a dialogue, we hope to foster a community that cherishes the craft of literary storytelling. In partnership with Reader’s Paradise, The Backlist is an invitation to read slowly, reflect deeply, and find company in words that last.
We pick one book each month. You read at your own pace, then join us for an in-person meet to talk, share, or simply listen. Meetings happen monthly, hosted at the studio.

The Glass Eyes Film Club at Studio in Grey is a gathering of minds—a shared breath before the lights dim, a soft moment of stillness as the screen flickers to life. It’s a space where strangers sit side by side, pulled into the same frame.
Here, cinema isn’t just watched—it’s felt. This is not just a screening; it’s a gentle act of community. A space for those who watch slowly, feel deeply, and return often.
A weekly gathering for people who like watching films and talking about them — sometimes softly, sometimes all night.
We screen films, host post-watch discussions, and occasionally share notes and resources.
